Daniel Seman, CPA, CFE, ACI

Director of ALPS Risk & Insurance Services

Dan is a 1988 graduate from the University of Montana with a B.S. degree in accounting and is a licensed certified public accountant in Montana. Dan is also a certified financial examiner through the Society of Financial Examiners and recently earned the Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) from the International Center for Captive Insurance Education. Before joining ALPS in 1997 in its financial accounting department, Dan started his insurance career as a financial examiner with the Montana Insurance Department in 1990 conducting field and office financial examinations of admitted and foreign insurers. Before assuming leadership of ALPS Risk & Insurance Services, Dan served as statutory accountant and controller for over nine years at ALPS. Dan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Montana Society of Certified Public Accountants, Society of Financial Examiners and International Center for Captive Insurance Education.

 
 
 

Roger McGlenn

Government and Agency Relations

Roger started his insurance career in 1974 in the personal lines market in northwest Montana. Most notability, Roger held the position of Executive Director of the Independent Insurance Agents' Association of Montana (IIAM) for 26 years between 1982 and 2008. Roger's background also includes leadership roles with The Montana Insurance Education Foundation, The Montana Surplus Lines Agents' Association, and Manager/CEO of Public Risk Insurance Management and the Mountain Plains Alliance a group purchasing pool involving Alaska, Montana, Idaho, North Dakota , Utah, and Wyoming.

 
 
 

Susan Johnson

Captive Development

Susan F. Johnson is currently working with ALPS Risk & Insurance Services, Inc. in the position of Captive Development as well as Senior Underwriter for ALPS Risk Retention Group. Susan has worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years. She has obtained her AAI (Accredited Adviser in Insurance) and CPIW (Certified Professional Insurance Woman) designations from the Insurance Institute of America and the RPLU (Registered Professional Liability Underwriter) designation from the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. Her background includes working in a retail agency, a managing general agency and ALPS. Duties have included working with actuaries in rate plan development, policy formation, application design and underwriting.

 
 
 

Daniel Hansen, CPA

Client Account Manager and Regulatory Compliance Coordinator

Daniel Hansen graduated from the University of Montana with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance in 2009 and later obtained his Master of Accountancy in 2010. Daniels experience includes audit experience working for a CPA firm that specialized in auditing low income housing tax credit partnerships as well as preparing tax returns for individuals and small businesses. His primary duties consist of providing ALPS Risk and Insurance Services clientele with accounting and regulatory compliance services. This includes preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as well as regulatory filings such as registration applications, renewals, quarterly and annual NAIC filings and premium tax returns. Daniel is currently working on completing the Associates in Captive Insurance (ACI) program from the International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE).
