ALPS formed Big Sky Captive Management in Montana in 2002 as a
vehicle to meet the needs for alternative risk vehicles among
businesses and corporations nationally. This initial concept
evolved into a multi-disciplinary unit within ALPS which is
referred to as ALPS Risk and Insurance Services (ARIS). ARIS is
responsible for the development of ALPS Health Solutions and the
Idaho Lawyer Benefit Plan as well as a number of other
captive-related ventures.

A Valuable Addition to the ALPS Family of
Services
Lawyers and law firms face the reality of rising healthcare
costs and there are very few benefit plan options available. For
many firms, one of the largest operating expenses each year is
healthcare.
For several years ALPS has been researching the problem.
As a result of our commitment to finding a solution that reverses
some of these recent trends, we are now launching a new, viable
healthcare alternative for bar associations and their members. The
